Construction of a substation that will supply green energy to the Fehmarnbelt tunnel facilities and the railway connecting Denmark, Germany and the Danish island of Lolland
Features
This €10 billion megaproject, Denmark's largest infrastructure project and the world's longest undersea tunnel, is part of the European Commission's Ten-T programme, which focuses on strengthening transport links and interconnectivity on the continent.
The traction substation to be built by Elecnor will have the capacity to serve the electric transport of the future, including charging stations for electric vehicles, thus contributing to the ecological transition of the transport sector.
The power supply substation comprises three 25 kV transformers to power the railway traction, two 20 kV transformers to power the tunnel and two load balancers.
